Welcome, my travelers, to the Province of Terra. Home to many diverse races, and even more conflicts, Terra is but another land of adventure and new beginnings. You've experienced other worlds and lands as a writer, a gamer, or reader in your own way and have come across another strange land known as Terra. Whatever your reason for joining us in the World of Winterheart, you are welcome to explore our vast world of Roleplay, Novels, and adventure. This site is to be your guide into this new land so that when you take your first steps into this new world, you'll have a some bearings.
Yes, this world is designed for writers and Role Players. There are little rules in the realm of logic but we try to keep things as close to realalistic as fantasy allows. Only rule is set in stone: "respect the story". The stories of Terra have been going on for about 6 years now and are a combined effort of many different writers with many different talents. Though our founding author (E. Michael Hendrick) is still the owner, he considers many of his world to be a combined effort. If you wish to join this adventure then one must respect the story. Character can be produced at any time but are checked within the site. This site will show you the main players and characters (with some concept art) to fully show the vastness of this world. (It is important to note that this site only holds the Terra Saga).
Commonly Asked Questions:
Why should I add to the story: The simple answer is because why shouldn't you? The longer answer is the second the writers quit adding to the pages of this world, the world begins to die. As writers, these lands and characters hold a special place to us. You live on through your character long after you've finished their chapter. It fills us with pride to have other characters mix and for many writers it brings allows them to show off their talents. If you add anything at all, then you've done your job.
Where is Terra Located?: Resting on an Island continent of Correllia, Terra is the most Northern Province. Bordered by 3 other provinces (Southwestern Jungles, Arrallia (to the direct south), and the Black Desert to the East), Terra holds Three of the tallest mountain ranges. Further north of Terra lies the Crystal Sea. Officals maps are still to be posted.
How many people have been apart of this?: The idea of Terra started with "The Winterheart Story". A brilliant writer named E. Michael Hendrick decided that he would record his misadventures in life, video games, and experiences in general and then turn it into a fantasy world. This idea became so large and popular amongst readers that it became a little to much for him to do on his own and so writers group was formed. The first province was created and was called Arrallia. Before long this think tank began branching out to other writing groups (on the condition that it stayed true to his fantasy, medieval nature and stayed within the realm of 'Fant.Logica'). By the December of 2010, the office contributors to this world had reached a staggering number of 104 writers, readers, and idea people. Though many have left or forgotten the project, our think tank grows.... yet the original writer of this grand Epic still works as head of the project. Sadly much of the history of this story was lost due to what the fans call "The Great Collapse" (a massive hard-drive crash) but any and all writings and adventures are recorded and eventually placed her. To answer you're question.... a lot. A whole freaking lot.
You say it has a lot of history here but I can't find the stories. What gives?: "The Great Collapse" happened in 2012. the Majority of data that was stored on the original site was lost. Though all the tales, power points, idea sheets, excel pages, and other data still resides in the world, finding the original owners has proven... difficult to say the least. We only hope to improve the story as we see fit, or begin a new. The Winterheart story was subtitled as "Dawn of the New Beginning" in honor of this.
